How is a banana like a prime minister’s approval rating?

Late to the party on the $6.2mil banana artwork.

But it reminded me of that Peter Pan scene where they bring Tinkerbell back to life by getting everyone to believe in fairies again.

Why? Well, art’s value is whatever a buyer believes it is.

Same with companies, financial markets, economies… heavily, to coin a phrase, built on vibes. If investors believe there’s growth in the future, they're more likely to invest.

So how is a banana (and reviving a fairy) like a PM’s approval rating?

Because Westminster vibes seem to be in short supply at the moment.

A bit more strategic narrative, vision, hope - ✨ a little bit of pixie dust ✨- from the despatch box might go a long way to giving us all - and even our economy - a little boost. 🧚
